Busy As A Bee

Good evening everyone, for once I've actually had a really busy weekend (and no work). My friend and I went up to London on Friday ready for Capital FM's Summertime Ball on the Saturday, which was SO good by the way, but I'll come on to that in a bit. On Friday we had time to do a spot of shopping whilst waiting for my other friend to finish work experience, and I managed to finally buy the Topshop floral cigarette pant that I blogged about ages ago!
They weren't available in either the Bury or Cambridge stores near me, so had to get them at Oxford Circus- I love them but they are extremely bright!!

I also brought myself some gorgeous goodies from Gilly Hicks, as again I don't have a store near me.

Anyway, back to the main event which was Summertime Ball. Coldplay opened up and were absolutely amazing!!! Flo Rida was surprisingly really good too, but maybe it's because even if you don't like him that much, the songs are so catchy you sing-a-long anyway. The one thing that I found shocking were the Bieber fans, I knew they would be crazy... but oh my when his face came on the screen (at this point he wasn't even  on the stage!) girls all around me just broke down in floods of tears, that was an experience in itself; especially when the most unlikely people were die hard fans!!
Jumper: Ark Shirt: Topshop Shorts: Levi Vintage Boots: Dune Necklace: H&M
I wore this minus the boots, I decided on converse instead just in case it rained and I also added tights because it was a little nippy outside and I'm a massive wuss when it come to the weather.

I'm back to school tomorrow (boo) but I hope everyone has a great week!

Jubilation

So am finally doing an outfit post, the first one since I can't even remember because it was that long ago!! This is the outfit I wore to my little jubilee barbecue/tea party on Monday and have only just got round to posting. It's not very patriotic, but the vintage style lace I thought would be appropriate and the Queen would approve. Also I never wear this dress as it's quite formal and to be honest I haven't been out in a while, so I took these celebrations as the perfect opportunity to give it an outing.

Dress:Topshop Wedges:Matalan

So yesterday I posted about having my driving theory today, but typically my mum miss read the sheet and it turns out it is tomorrow, anyway I'm off to London this weekend as me and a few friends are going to Captial FM Summer Time Ball and I'm soooo excited to see Coldplay and I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to seeing the Biebs ( I think after this I might turn into a Bieber fan- yep I said it!) Is anyone else going, cause I'll see you there and who can you not wait to see!

Bank Holiday Buys

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying these few days off even if the weather has been typically British and rained! The jubilee concert was so good last night, I do love the Queen and it made me feel very proud to British. Anyway here are the items I snapped up in Cambridge:

Mint Jumper ark clothing- I've looked on this website for a while, but now Cambridge have a store it's fab and really reasonably priced, but also sells Motel ect.

Grabbed myself another pair of Levi shorts, getting them to fit right is so hard!

Shorts: Primark

Vest: Primark

Best bargain of the day, this boucle style cardigan/jacket from Oasis £10 from £55!- Couldn't say no to that

Ok, so this a very bad quality photo, but this necklace from H&M is a gorgeous pastel green and screams out 'lady-like',the Queen would be proud!

This playsuit is also from ark and although you can tell very well from the photo it has a cut out back and edges above the hips

Will do an outfit post tomorrow and I have my driving theory so fingers crossed I'll pass, have a great day!!

Best Of British Jubilee Buys.....

To celebrate the Queen's jubilee and an amazing 60 years on the throne (long live liz!!) I've put together a montage on patriotic jubilee buys from some of the great British brands, showing that even with a union jack on the front British style still rules!

1-4Topshop 5-6.River Island 7.Republic(Asos)  8.Cambridge Satchel 9.Another Queen Vivienne Westwood ring 10.John Lewis mug 11.Warehouse lace peplum 12.Motel dress 13.Barbour shopper 14.Jack Wills crew jumper 15.Jack Wills pillow 16.Another great British designer Henry Holland

Dahlia is also another great British brand that has gorgeous dresses, tops and some amazing accessories (especially the collars)- check it out!
If you have time definitely head over to the Topshop website and watch the fab Meadham Kirchhoff  jubilee spectacular video which took place in the middle of the Oxford Circus store I wish I was there to witness it, it's crazy but fab at the same time; especially with the mash-up of the spice girls and rule Britannia playing in the background.

The brilliant part about the jubilee, as well as celebrating the Queen and all the fantastic events happening in London and all over the country is the two day bank holiday- so thank you for that Ma'am!

Hope everyone has a fab bank holiday, would love to know if you're celebrating in someway maybe a street party or something, we were planning a barbecue but now it's turning to be more of a tea party; which is fine with me because it means lots of delicious cakes!!

You Shall Go To The Ball.....

A set of dresses the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella would be proud of- Yes the Met Ball 2012, has to be one of if not my favourite red carpet event. It pushes all the fashion boundaries and anything goes, the dresses are works of art and shows how incredible the designers are. It's the best of couture! It's an event when the dresses really so steal the show, would be my dream event to attend- work of geniuses.
